How do I submit my insurance?

Edited

Insurance verification is required to maintain full access to the Convoy Platform (owned and operated by Flexport Freight Tech LLC). Every carrier must have a COI on file with the Convoy Platform that lists Flexport Freight Tech LLC as the certificate holder.

How do I submit my Certificate of Insurance (COI)?

Please take one of the following steps:

Option 1: Ask your insurance agent to send your Certificate of Insurance to the Convoy Platform at carrierinsurance@convoy.com. Include this support article to ensure they have fulfilled the COI requirements listed below.

Option 2: Fill out this form to provide your insurance agent’s contact information. From there we will send a Certificate of Insurance request to your agent on your behalf.

NOTE: The COI must come from your insurance agent directly. We do not accept COIs from carriers as proof of insurance.

How long will it take for my insurance to be verified?

Once your COI has been received, it can take up to 3 business days for the Convoy Platform to verify your COI.

[For Insurance Agencies]: What needs to be on the COI?

The insurance agent should send a COI to carrierinsurance@convoy.com that follows the requirements listed below.

DOT NUMBER:

Insurance agent must include carrier's DOT number on the certificate.

SHOW ALL COVERAGES:

  • $100,000 cargo coverage

  • NAIC number for all underwriters

    3255 160th AVE SE, FL 2
    BELLEVUE, WA 98008
    carrierinsurance@convoy.com

The underwriter for each policy must have an AM Best Rating of B+ or better in order to work with the Convoy Platform.

  • If the policy is scheduled autos, all scheduled VINs must be listed

  • If the policy has any exclusions, please list them under "Description of Operations"
