To keep all loads secure and prevent unauthorized pickups, the pickup number will not be displayed in the Convoy app until the assigned driver of the load arrives at the pickup location.
Note: Dispatchers must ensure they have assigned the correct driver to the load and the driver has the Convoy app downloaded.
Follow the steps below to access your pickup number.
Before You Arrive
Open the Convoy app, go to ‘My Loads’, tap ‘Booked’, and select your active load.
- Review all load details to ensure you have the correct equipment required for the load and avoid falloffs or delays.
At least 4 hours before your scheduled pickup appointment, enable location services in the Convoy app and set them to "Always". Location tracking must be active for the entire trip, per your rate confirmation. (See: How do I turn on location services?)
At the Pickup Location
Once you arrive at the facility, mark your arrival to release the pickup number. There are two ways to do this:
Automatic: The app will detect your GPS location and automatically mark you as arrived once you're at the pickup facility.
Manual: Tap "Arrive at Pickup" in the app. To use this option, location tracking must be enabled and show your location as near the facility. Arrival cannot be manually marked more than 4 hours before your appointment.
You and your dispatcher will also each receive push and text notifications confirming that the pickup number is available in the app. Use the pickup number to check in at the facility.
Troubleshooting
I can't mark arrival:
Confirm location tracking is enabled and set to "Always"
Confirm the correct driver is assigned to the load
Verify you are at the correct pickup address
Confirm you are within 4 hours of your scheduled appointment
