Are you having trouble signing up to work with Convoy? Here are a few of the reasons why you may be running into errors during the signup process:
1. The MC/DOT provided is not correctly formatted.
The proper format for the provided MC/DOT should be 1-8 digits. Double check you entered the correct digits, selected "MC" or "DOT" for the referenced digits, and removed any extra spaces before or after the digits.
For example, the error below shows a carrier entering "MC0000000 ", instead of "0000000".
2. Your MC/DOT already exists within Convoy's database.
Convoy requires unique MC/DOT numbers to continue during the signup process. If your MC/DOT already exists, you will be directed to sign in to an existing account, contact the MC/DOT owner and/or dispatcher to add your information to their fleet, or call Convoy's support line at 425-214-1769 (extension 3).
3. Your email already exists within Convoy's database.
Similar to Convoy requiring unique MC/DOT numbers for registration, the email during registration must also be unique in the Convoy database. If you have questions, please contact Convoy at 425-214-1769 (extension: 3).
4. Your phone number already exists within Convoy's database.
Similar to Convoy requiring unique MC/DOT numbers and emails for registration, the phone number during registration must also be unique in the Convoy database.
Upon receiving this error, you will either tap "continue" and register as a new carrier or "sign in" under the existing carrier account.
NOTE: you tap "continue", Convoy will remove your cellphone number from the existing carrier account. If you log into the mobile app or desktop and still see your old carrier profile, please log out and log back in.
5. Insufficient insurance
If you receive this error, you can still sign up for a new Convoy account! However, you will not be allowed to view or book loads until the RMIS insurance requirements are met. If you have questions regarding your signup process, please contact Convoy at 425-214-1769 (extension: 3).
