We are excited to announce that carriers can now fund their fuel account directly in the Convoy app through Zelle®. Zelle® is a great way to instantly transfer money between bank accounts. In this case it allows you to instantly send money to your fuel account account for free. 

Connecting your Zelle® account to your fuel account is easy through our integration with Zelle®, blynk™. Most major banks offer Zelle® for both business and personal accounts, but if you are unsure if you have access to Zelle® reach out to your bank today. 

 

Connect your Zelle® and Fuel accounts in five easy steps: 

  1. Agree to the blynk™ Terms & Conditions
  2. Input your Zelle® Account Identifier (Phone number or email)
  3. Input the amount you would like to transfer
  4. We will confirm your Zelle® Account Identifier. If we cannot verify your your Zelle® Account Identifier, you will have the opportunity to input a different identifier
  5. Once the Zelle® Account Identifier is confirmed, you will be able to navigate to your bank app or webpage to confirm the transaction. The money will then be moved onto your fuel account.

Step 1: Scroll to the bottom of the terms and conditions and tap “Agree and Continue”

Step 2: Input your name and the phone number or email address that is associated with your Zelle® account. Then Select "Setup Payment".

Step 3: Select the amount you would like to transfer to your fuel account. The minimum is $1 and the maximum varies by bank. Maximum transfer amounts can be adjusted by your bank if you reach out to them. Once the value is selected, swipe the Add Funds selection from left to right.

Step 4: Convoy will confirm that Zelle® has a record of your email or phone number on file. If it is on file, you will receive notification from your bank that a transfer has been requested. At this point you have 14 days to complete the transfer in your banking app or website before it is cancelled. If the email or phone number is not found in the Zelle® network, you will be prompted to try a new email or phone number.  

Step 5: Your bank will send you a notification or email requesting your approval for the transaction. Confirm your transaction in your bank app or webpage and the money will be transferred to your fuel account within 5 minutes. 

*Note: Do not create your own transfer from within your bank account before completing a transfer automatically generated by Convoy. Once you have completed your first transfer from the Convoy app using Zelle®, you will be able to initiate future transfers from your bank account.

What is Zelle®?

How long does it take to transfer money to my fuel account through Zelle®?

  • After you confirm your Zelle® transaction the funds should be available on your account within 5 minutes, but it is usually much faster.

How much does it cost to use Zelle®?

  • Funding your fuel account through Zelle® is free!

Can I change the bank account I have connected to the fuel account once I set it up?

  • Yes, once you have set up your Zelle® you can update the bank account you are using at any time. To do this click the "Add Funds" button. Then scroll to the bottom of the screen where it says "Update my banking info". Click this link to proceed with making the updates to your bank information. 

What banks offer Zelle®?

  • There are hundreds of banks in the Zelle® network, check here to see if your bank is also a part of it. Zelle® Network There are fewer banks who offer Zelle® for business to business transfers. Here is a list of banks we have verified that you will be able to use through your business account.
    • JP Morgan Chase
    • Wells Fargo
    • Bank of America
    • US Bank
    • Frost
    • Arvest
    • Plains Capital

      If your bank is not on this list, it may still work, reach out to your bank to confirm its Zelle® capabilities.

What if I do not receive a notification or email from my bank account to complete the transaction?

  • You may still confirm the transfer in your banking app or web page in the Zelle® section.

Do I always need to transfer funds from the Convoy app?

  • Once you have connected your Zelle® and fuel accounts, you may initiate transfers from your bank app or web page.

Are all Zelle® accounts able to transfer money to the fuel account?

  • You can use a Zelle® account connected to either a business or personal bank account to fund your fuel account, however you may not use a Zelle® account that is not attached to a bank account.

How much money can I transfer to my fuel account through Zelle® per day?

  • Daily transfer maximums vary by bank and type of account. Usually, maximums may be increased as Zelle® is used or by your request.

Can I submit multiple Zelle® transfers to my fuel at a time?

  • No, you may only have one Zelle® transfer at a time. If you wish to change the amount of money you intended to transfer to your fuel account, you may cancel the transfer in your bank app or webpage and then create another transfer.
How can I set up recurring Zelle® requests? 
  • To set up a recurring Zelle® requests email convoy@tcsfuel.com or call (844) 827-7697. Our partners at TCS can initiate the recurring request at the interval you specify. 

I am not seeing the Zelle® request from the Convoy app in my bank account, what should I do?

  • First, check the Zelle® section of your bank account to see if there is a Zelle® request from Transconnect. If you do not see the request, check your Zelle® settings to make sure you used the right phone number or email address.
  • If the first options do not resolve the issue, you will need to add TCS as a Zelle® recipient manually. To do this, go to the Zelle® section of your bank account and add the email address to your Zelle® recipient list. If you do not see the transaction complete within 5 minutes reinitiate the transfer in the Convoy app. 
  • Note: Do not create your own transfer from within your bank account before completing a transfer automatically generated by Convoy. Once you have completed your first transfer from the Convoy app using Zelle®, you will be able to initiate future transfers from your bank account.
