In order to file your taxes, your 1099 forms from The Convoy Platform will be available at the end of January. Stripe (stripe.com) will be used to file 1099s, which will give carriers access to review and update their business information and review their payments from the previous year.


Important: Changes for 2025 Tax Reporting
Due to a change in ownership of the Convoy Platform during 2025 from Flexport to DAT Freight & Analytics, you may receive 0, 1, or 2 1099-NEC forms depending on your earnings:
  • Flexport 1099-NEC: For earnings of $600 or more between 1/1/25 - 7/29/25, you will receive a Flexport 1099 delivered via mail only, postmarked by January 31, 2026.
  • DAT 1099-NEC: For earnings of $600 or more between 7/30/25 - 12/31/25, you will receive a DAT 1099 available electronically or postmarked via mail by January 31, 2026.
Note: You will receive 0 forms if your earnings did not exceed $600 for each entity within the time periods listed above.


How will I review my 1099 information? 

By mid January 2026, carriers will receive an email from express@stripe.com with the subject line: "Get your Convoy Platform 2025 tax forms faster by enabling e-delivery." This email will contain instructions to log into the Stripe portal to review your business information and payouts and confirm that all information is correct.

To log in:

  • You will need your email address. Your email login will use the same email address that is listed in the profile tab of the Convoy Platform app under the "Payment Information" section.

If you have not received this email from Stripe by mid January and believe a 1099 form should have been filed for your company, please email carriersupport@convoy.com with your business name and MC/DOT number and our Payments Support team will assist you.


How do I know if the Convoy Platform has filed a 1099 form for me?

You will receive a 1099 form if:

  • Your company was paid $600 or more via the Convoy Platform during the applicable tax period (see time periods above).

  • Your company filed the W-9 as an individual/sole proprietor or single-member LLC.

How will I receive my 1099 from Stripe? 

After you have received your initial email from Stripe, you will have the option to opt into electronic delivery of the 1099 (recommended).

  • If you opted to have your 1099 electronically delivered, you will receive your DAT 1099 via email at the email address you used to login to Stripe.
  • If you did not opt into electronic delivery, a paper copy will be sent to the address you have listed in the Stripe portal (you will have a chance to review this when you log in to Stripe).
  • The Flexport 1099 will be delivered via mail only to the address listed in the Stripe portal.
