How do I get a 1099 form from the Convoy Platform to file my taxes?
In order to file your taxes, your 1099 forms from The Convoy Platform (owned and operated by Flexport Freight Tech LLC) will be available starting in January. Stripe (stripe.com) will be used to file 1099s, which will give carriers access to review and update their business information and review their payments from the previous year.
How will I review my 1099 information?
By mid January 2025, carriers will receive an email from express@stripe.com where they can log into the Stripe portal to review their business information and payouts and confirm that all information is correct.
To log in:
You will need your email address and will be asked to provide a phone number for verification. Your email login will use the same email address that is listed in the profile tab of the Convoy Platform app under the "Payment Information" section.
If you have not received this email from Stripe by mid January and believe a 1099 form should have been filed for your company, please email carriersupport@convoy.com with your business name and MC/DOT number and our Payments Support team will assist you.
How do I know if the Convoy Platform has filed a 1099 form for me?
You will receive a 1099 form if:
Your company was paid $600 or more via the Convoy Platform during the fiscal tax year.
Your company filed the W-9 as an individual/sole proprietor or single-member LLC.
How will I receive my 1099 from Stripe?
After you have received your initial email from Stripe, you will have the option to opt into electronic delivery of the 1099 (recommended).
If you opted to have your 1099 electronically delivered you will receive your 1099 via email at the email address you used to login to Stripe.
If you did not opt into electronic delivery, a paper copy will be sent to the address you have listed in the Stripe portal (you will have a chance to review this when you log in to Stripe).
